The Center for Professional Development helps May Institute employees build their careers and enhance their work experience.

Through the Center’s array of educational offerings, employees may acquire academic degrees, advanced clinical training, certificates, and continuing education experiences that further their professional growth. Participants in our programs benefit from the expertise of our clinical leadership.

Graduate degree programs in applied behavior analysis and special education prepare employees to enter a select workforce of people dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adolescents, and adults with special needs.

For employees interested in specialized clinical skills, non-degree certification programs are available in brain injury and applied behavior analysis. In both cases, the curriculum and associated clinical supervision are approved by the national boards overseeing certification.

Seminars are offered for employees who have professional licenses or certifications that require continuing professional education as part of the renewal process. Nationally and internationally known speakers address significant topics pertaining to clinical services, research, and systems of care. May is approved by the American Psychological Association as a continuing education sponsor.

In addition, selected training seminars have been pre-approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury specialists, so credit may be obtained without individual application.
