Opportunities for Families
NAVIGATION

May Institute is a leader in service, education, and research for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

At our centers, we provide direct service to children and families. We also offer training opportunities for professionals considering a career in behavior analysis, education, or psychology.

Our centers also actively promote the conduct of research to develop and disseminate groundbreaking interventions. As part of this research, we sometimes offer services in settings outside of our center-based program, for example in schools or in the homes of participating families. Conducting research in different settings allows us to both maximize the number of children we can support in our center-based program and play a role in development and dissemination of evidence-based interventions.

We are looking for families to participate in the following studies!

Are you the parent or caregiver of a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)?
Are you or another parent figure currently serving in the military?

Researchers are doing a study to see how different behavioral programs may help your child with ASD.

We are looking for parents of children with ASD between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old, who partner with TRICARE insurance.

What will happen?

  • Your child will receive behavioral intervention from a professional specialist
  • We will ask you questions about your child, including current behavioral programs, levels of achievement, and behavioral goals you may have for your child
  • You may be offered opportunities to learn new strategies for your child
  • You will be paid for filling out forms

Do you live in the Greater Boston area?

Researchers at May Institute are evaluating a program that supports parents in addressing and reducing challenging behavior.

We are looking for parents in the Greater Boston area who have children with autism ages 3 to 8 years.

What does the research involve?

  • RUBI is a research-based parent training program that we will provide remotely using computers and video-conferencing software that we will provide.
  • Training sessions occur once per week. Research staff will meet with you online and teach you strategies for your child.
  • We will also ask you questions about you, your child, and your family. You will receive giftcards for your time completing forms.
