Since 1955, May Institute has been a pioneer in the treatment of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. We offer a wide variety of educational programs to help children and adolescents reach their highest potential.
Our research-based services are provided in private homes and in our day and residential schools for children with autism and other special needs. These schools are located in Massachusetts (two in the Greater Boston area and one in western Mass.), and in Santa Cruz, California. In addition, we offer comprehensive school consultation services to public schools, educational collaboratives, private agencies, and families.
Through our May Centers for Autism Spectrum Disorders, we provide services to military families at installations in twelve states.
May Institute teachers, therapists, and consultants throughout the country are trained in early childhood education, special education, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Our senior staff includes doctoral-level and licensed psychologists, many of whom are nationally recognized for their expertise and professional visibility through publications and presentations. We also benefit from the expertise of our Clinical Leadership and a Professional Advisory Board whose members include leading authorities in the field.
