Children's Services

Since 1955, May Institute has been a pioneer in the treatment of children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities.

We offer a wide variety of education programs to help children and adolescents reach their highest potential.

Our research-based services are provided in in our centers, in homes, and in our day and residential schools for children with autism and other special needs. These May Center Schools are located in Massachusetts (two in the Greater Boston area and two in western Massachusetts) and California.

Through our May Centers for ABA Services, we provide center-based, home-based, and school-based services to children and families across the country.

May Institute teachers, therapists, and consultants throughout the country are trained in early childhood education, special education, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Our senior staff includes doctoral-level and licensed psychologists, many of whom are nationally recognized for their expertise and professional visibility through publications and presentations.

MEET YOLANDA

In most cultures, raising children takes the proverbial village. We are born into a family and into a larger community. The May Center for Early Intervention in West Springfield, Mass., is a part of that community, serving children under 3 who have or are at risk for developmental delays.

Just as every child has a unique mix of challenges, so do families. Yolanda’s story is also the story of her family.
