Taylor Schauer, M.Ed.


2014 Trustees’ Fund Awardee

Ms. Schauer joined TBS as an instructor in 2010, was promoted to Senior Instructor in 2012, transitioned to Teacher Trainee in 2014, and became Special Education Teacher in 2017, working with our adolescent and young adult students. Ms. Schauer completed research for her Masters thesis on evaluating the effects of Differential Reinforcement of Lower Rates of Behavior (DRL) on reducing rates of perseverative speech in individuals with autism. As the teacher of our transition-aged students, she works closely with our Vocational Coordinator to increase student participation within community volunteer and paid employment settings.

Ms. Schauer graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Sociology and California State University, Monterey Bay with an MA in Education. She holds a moderate/severe education specialist instruction credential.
