Wareham Resident Receives May Institute’s Prestigious Trustees’ Fund Award

Randolph, Mass. – Wareham resident Amanda Austin, a teacher at the May Center School for Brain Injury and Related Disorders in Brockton, has received a Trustees’ Fund Award from May Institute’s Board of Trustees. The award is given annually to a select group of employees who are nominated by their peers and supervisors. The nine recipients of the 2015 awards were recently honored at a ceremony at the organization’s corporate office in Randolph, Mass.
 
May Institute is a national nonprofit organization that provides educational, rehabilitative, and behavioral healthcare services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, brain injury, and behavioral health needs. The Institute employs approximately 2,000 staff across the country.
 
The Trustees’ Fund Award is the highest honor given to an employee by the organization. It was created in 1993 to recognize the exceptional contributions of staff members who epitomize the organization’s ideals of service and professionalism.
 
Ms. Austin, who recently became a board certified behavior analyst, has received high praise for her expertise in the classroom and her willingness to share her skills and knowledge with colleagues.
