Foxborough and Randolph, Mass. — From the serious spinner class participant to road cyclist to the wine buff, the auction gem of a front-row seat to the Tour de France finish line is enticing.
As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, nonprofit May Institute is auctioning a number of unique items including a Tour de France package that features five days in Paris, hotel accommodations for two, and an unforgettable day in reserved grandstand seating at the finish line on the Champs-Elysées, followed by a private cocktail reception. The package has an estimated value of $3,200. All proceeds will benefit May Institute.
May Institute, with corporate headquarters in Randolph, Mass., is an award-winning nonprofit organization with 60 years of experience in serving children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, brain injury, mental illness, and behavioral health needs.
The Tour de France package is donated by Todson, Inc., based in Foxboro, Mass, a company that has been a fixture of the bicycling industry for more than 60 years. The family-owned company represents some of the world's most storied cycling brands including Topeak accessories, OnGuard security, and Velox bicycles.
“As a long-standing May Institute board member, co-chairman of its 60th anniversary event and champion of children’s causes, I want to do something special to help celebrate the organization’s history and accomplishments,” noted Neal Todrys, president of Todson. He added, “As a cycling enthusiast and wine aficionado, I know that many of my colleagues and friends have the Tour de France on the bucket list. We hope that people will bid generously to celebrate life, travel and adventure.”
To bid on the Tour de France and other items, the public can either purchase tickets to attend May Institute’s 60th anniversary fundraising dinner event on April 9 th at Granite Links Country Club in Quincy, Mass, or by proxy bid. The event is expected to attract 350 supporters, including dozens of corporate sponsors and business partners.
