May Institute’s Chief Information Officer Wins Prestigious Boston Business Journal Award

Randolph, MA – Kevin M. More, M.B.A., May Institute’s Chief Information Officer, has been named one of two 2014 CIO award winners from the nonprofit sector by the
Boston Business Journal. He and other winners from various business sectors were honored recently during a ceremony at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.
May Institute is an award-winning, national nonprofit organization with nearly 60 years of experience in serving children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, brain injury, mental illness, and behavioral health needs.

oston Business Journal Publisher Chris McIntosh in announcing the award winners. “These are the leaders who are at the forefront of innovation. These are the CIOs who keep our businesses operating without interruption. These are the people who keep our business systems secure.”
Asked by the
Journal how he fosters and promotes innovation within May Institute, More responded: “I believe in developing relationships and opening communication channels with employees from across the organization, particularly with frontline staff. They are the ones who are doing some of the hardest work and who often have the most innovative ideas.”

In addition to his responsibilities as CIO, More is also May Institute’s Information Security Officer. He has over 20 years of healthcare, information technology, and telecommunication management experience.

The Huffington Post as one of the top “most social CIOs” on Twitter in 2014.
A graduate of the Society for Information Management’s Northeast Regional Leadership Forum, More earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Bentley University. He is a member of the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society, and a past president of both the Boston Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and the Boston Society for Information Management (SIM). More currently serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for SIM International, and is a frequent speaker and panelist at various information technology industry events.
