May Institute Honors Nine Employees with Prestigious Exceptional Service Awards

Randolph, Mass. – Nine May Institute employees have received Exceptional Service Awards during a recent ceremony at the organization’s corporate headquarters in Randolph. The awards are given annually by May’s Board of Directors to a select group of employees who are nominated by their peers and supervisors. 

May Institute is a national nonprofit organization that provides educational, rehabilitative, and behavioral healthcare services to autistic individuals as well as those with other developmental disabilities, brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs. May Institute employs approximately 2,000 staff across the country. 

“The Exceptional Service Award is the highest honor we can bestow upon an employee,” said Lauren C. Solotar, Ph.D., ABPP, President and CEO of May Institute. “It was created by our Board of Directors 30 years ago to recognize the exceptional contributions of staff members who epitomize the organization’s ideals of service and professionalism.”

May Institute’s Exceptional Service Award recipients for 2023 are:

  • Jennifer Barrows, Teaching Assistant, May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Wilmington, Mass.
  • Alison Bartone, CEIS, MHP, Program Coordinator, May Center for Early Intervention, Western Massachusetts
  • Kristen Contois, M.S., BCBA, Behavior Specialist, May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, West Springfield, Mass.
  • Andrew Dalesandro, Information Technology Specialist, Western Massachusetts
  • Jill Fitzgerald-Sugrue, RN, Director of Healthcare Services, May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Randolph, Mass.
  • Michelle Mendes, Assistant Residential Director, May Center for Adult Services, Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts
  • Noble Osemwegie, Program Coordinator, May Center for Adult Services, Eastern Massachusetts
