May Institute Among Top Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts

Randolph, Mass. —May Institute, a national nonprofit provider of services for children, adolescents, and adults with autism and other special needs, has been named number 26 in The Commonwealth Institute’s (TCI) 2016 list of Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts.
TCI is a non-profit organization devoted to advancing businesswomen in leadership positions in Massachusetts. Its annual Top 100 list celebrates successful for-profit and nonprofit businesses that have made a significant impact on the Commonwealth’s economy – and the women who lead them. This year marks the 15
th year of this tradition.
“This selection comes at a dynamic time in our organization's 60-year history, when we are making tremendous strides in the services we provide and the communities we impact,” said May Institute President and CEO Lauren C. Solotar, Ph.D., ABPP. “Leading an organization of this size and scope requires a talented and dedicated management team and board, and an exceptional workforce. Winners were honored at a celebratory breakfast held on October 28
th at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. The names of the winning organizations and their leaders were published in the
Boston Globe Magazine on October 30
th.
According to the
Globe article, “The innovative leaders at the helm of these companies and nonprofits – in fields as diverse as health care and high-tech, finance and education– all share a common trait: They’re defining the future of the state’s economy. The amount of combined revenue generated in 2015 by the top 100 organizations was $70.5 billion.”
