North Carolina Center Hosts Family Social and Easter Egg Hunt

05/15/11

In April, the May Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders in Jacksonville, North Carolina held an Easter Egg Hunt and Family Social. Children, siblings, and parents came together for a fun-filled day at the Commons Park. Activities included bubbles, a ring toss, golf, soccer, and rocket balloons that were set up around the park so that the families could enjoy playing together. Parents and children also had fun on the playground, shared a pizza lunch, and celebrated one child’s birthday. After lunch, children happily hunted for hidden eggs throughout the park.

The day was packed with outdoor fun for parents, children, and families. Parents met and socialized with other parents, while children practiced social skills in a fun and active way.
