New Games Thanks to the Charter Cup!

08/6/22

Thanks to money raised during May Institute’s Charter Cup fishing tournament last year, the women who live at a May residence in Mashpee have been enjoying a new backyard bean bag tic-tac-toe game.

“You throw a tiny bean bag at a grid of X’s and O’s, and if it lands on an X, it spins,” explains Program Coordinator Danielle Gordon. “You keep throwing bags until someone wins. It’s a game that could last for half an hour.”

The women love to play outside when the weather is nice and enjoy games of ring toss, cornhole, lawn darts, basketball, soccer, and outdoor bowling, in addition to the new tic-tac-toe.

“These games provide a lot of laughs for residents and staff alike,” says Danielle. “Karen and I are very competitive; Sadie – the quiet one – usually wins!” Come see all of the photos here.
