Center School in Norwood, Chief Petty Officer Jeffrey Parris

11/4/22

At our May Center School in Norwood, Chief Petty Officer Jeffrey Parris of the United States Navy (USN) came to present on “Naval Oceanography” to the school assembly. The students were captivated and asked lots of questions about oceanography, the Navy, and of course, one asked Chief Petty Officer Parris what are the government safeguards against a zombie invasion? There is one funny guy in every crowd!

This is the type of deep dive into a subject that keeps our students interested and also introduces them to possible career areas that they may not have considered before.
