A warm story for a cozy night. (A pre-COVID tale)

12/4/20

One evening, four women with intellectual disabilities who live in a May residence in Western Mass., enjoyed a Friday night pajama party. They wore identical nightshirts that said, “Some Bunny Loves You.” The PJs were gifts from staff members who wore their matching pajamas that said, “Wake Me Up Never” for the special evening.

At the party, the women enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and eating pizza and popcorn together. When it got dark, they danced with glow sticks. “We had so much fun,” said Gilian Washington, Program Director at the residence. “When do you get ... to work in pajamas for a girls’ night? We have our tough days, but we have great ones as well. We love our ladies!”
