The May Center for Children & Families in Randolph, Mass., provides best practice intensive behavioral intervention in a center-based program to young autistic children and children with other special needs. It was previously called the May Center for ABA Services.
Our
center-based services provide social skills groups and early childhood therapy based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), with the goal of helping children build critical skills and reduce problem behaviors.
Our Early Learners' center-based program is designed for toddlers and young children. The program operates Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Children attending the center-based program are on-site for sessions that vary in length (e.g., 4-6 hour sessions) and are staffed one-to-one with a Registered Behavior Technician providing direct therapy under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Direct therapy services are structured to address deficits with communication, social interaction, and functional independent living skills (e.g., toilet training). Behavior support plans are individualized for children with maladaptive behavior to identify and teach functional replacement skills. Additionally, parent training services are provided to all of the families with children attending the center-based program.
