Parent Training: How to Help Your Child Deal with Bullies

Part of a special speaker series sponsored by May Institute, in partnership with the Hockomock Area YMCA

This FREE event is part of a speaker series open to any families interested in attending. It is designed based on feedback from Hockomock Area parents about what topics would be most useful. It will take place at the Hockomock Area YMCA in Franklin, Mass. Special thanks to the YMCA for partnering with us on these events.

Description: Learn from a specialist who has conducted research in local schools on bullying and effective prevention and intervention strategies.

 If you are:
— worried your child is bullying others or being bullied
— worried about what your child is doing online or on Facebook
— having a hard time talking to your child about these issues

Then make sure not to miss this workshop where you will learn:
— how to recognize bullying
— how to talk to your child about their experiences with bullying
— about differences between traditional bullying and cyberbullying

Time: Presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. A typical evening will include a one-hour presentation, 30 minutes for questions and answers with the speaker, and 30 minutes for networking opportunities.
