Join us for this workshop that is part of our intermediate to advanced-level workshop series for human services and behavioral healthcare professionals working in clinical, educational, medical, and rehabilitation settings.

Instructor: Helen Tager-Flusberg, Ph.D.

Event Description: This talk will focus on language and communication impairments in ASD covering the range from minimally verbal to intact language but impaired pragmatic functions. Dr. Tager-Flusberg will cover the essential features of language, ways to measure and evaluate linguistic and pragmatic abilities, and the variability seen within the ASD population. She will also discuss  the early development of language in ASD as well as the neural underpinnings of language in ASD.
CE Credits: May Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. May Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Each seminar offers two (2) Continuing Education Credits for psychologists, LICSW, LMHC, and Nursing.
