Cancellations received in writing via email (pbs@mayinstitute.org) or via mail to PBIS Forum/Heather Bombard at May Institute, 41 Pacella Park Drive, Randolph, MA 02368 by November 5, 2023, will be refunded minus a 5% registration service charge to cover non-refundable expenses to May Institute. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: Nikole Y. Hollins-Sims, Ed.D - AM & Brandi Simonsen Ph.D - PM

Nikole Y. Hollins-Sims, Ed.D.

Nikole is the senior educational consultant & strategist for Hollins-Sims Consultation. She formerly served as a technical assistance coordinator for the Midwest PBIS network and is a former Special Assistant to the Secretary of Education at the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). One of her career highlights is serving as the lead author of the book titled: Creating Equitable Practices in PBIS.

 

 Brandi Simonsen, Ph.D.

Dr. Simonsen is a professor of Special Education with tenure in the Department of Educational Psychology at the Neag School of Education and the Co-Director of the Center for Behavioral Education and Research at the University of Connecticut. She is also the Co-Director of the National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Co-Principal Investigator of the National Multi-Tiered System of Supports Research Network a Senior Advisor to the National Center on Intensive Interventions (NCII), and an editorial board member for the Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Currently, Dr. Simonsen conducts research, publishes, teaches, and provides training/technical assistance in the areas of (a) school- and class-wide PBIS, (b) positive and proactive professional development supports for teachers, and (c) applications of PBIS in alternative education settings.
