Sangya Karkee, M.S.
Senior Director of Family Services, May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Randolph, Mass.


A native of Nepal, Ms. Karkee worked at a school for students with autism and other disabilities in Kathmandu. She came to the United States as an undergraduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Cambridge College. In 2010, she earned a master’s degree in Human Services from UMass Boston.

Ms. Karkee joined May Institute in 2011 as an Assistant Program Coordinator at one of our Randolph residences. She was later promoted to Program Coordinator for two houses. In 2013, She transitioned to May’s Family Services department, where she now serves as Senior Director.

In addition to coordinating and overseeing services for families whose sons and daughters attend the Randolph school, Ms. Karkee maintains her own caseload of students, acting as the point person for the families of those students. She also conducts parent and staff trainings, and takes a leadership role in planning events at the Randolph school.
