Donna Gurley-Leon, RN
Director of Healthcare Services May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders, Norwood, Mass.


Donna began her career in nursing after earning a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma from Southeastern Regional Technical in Easton, Mass. Through the years, she developed a passion for working with children, and focused on specializing in traumatic brain injury and neurological rehabilitation. In 2010, Donna returned to school and earned her Registered Nurse (RN) credential from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y. 
 
In 2007, she joined the May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders and worked for many years as a nurse Case Manager in Brockton, Mass., overseeing two residential group homes. In this role, Donna provided training and education for the medical care of students to both families and staff. She also worked in conjunction with specialty physicians to facilitate care for complicated medical conditions. 
 
In her current role as Director of Healthcare Services, Donna oversees a team of nurse Case Managers and Medical Coordinators who provide care to four residential group homes and several day students.
