Catie Maruska, M.S., BCBA
Clinical Director, May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Randolph, Mass.


A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Catie Maruska received her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Regis College in Weston, Mass. She is currently in the process of obtaining her doctorate degree in ABA from Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., under the advisement of Dr. Jennifer Zarcone, May Institute’s Chief Clinical Officer.

At the May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Randolph, Catie oversees clinical programming in behavior analytic interventions for students ages 10-22. She oversees a team of clinicians and BCBAs who focus on assessing and treating problem behavior as well as increasing adaptive behaviors to improve independence and autonomy.

Catie started her career in ABA as a Behavioral Data Specialist on the Neurobehavioral Unit at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Md. While at Kennedy Krieger, Catie rose from a team member to a Clinical Specialist and facilitated the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior utilizing function-based assessment. Following her time at Kennedy Krieger, Catie worked at the Regis Autism Center focusing on early intervention for children ages 2-6. At the same time, she also worked for the New England Center for Children on the Intensive Treatment Team with students ages 14-22. Catie joined May Institute as a BCBA for the Randolph May Center School’s Intensive Behavior core prior to transitioning into her current role of Clinical Director.

Her research interests include the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior and perseverative speech, de-escalation methods, functional assessment, and teaching independence and fostering generalization of behavior and skills across environments.
