How to Help
NAVIGATION

As we all manage through this unprecedented time, the clinical teams and leadership at May Institute could not be more grateful for the offers of contributions. Time after time, you have asked, “What can I do to help?”

MAKE A DONATION

You can make an online gift in support of the COVID-19 response at May Institute.
All unrestricted gifts received after March 16, 2020 may go toward the COVID-19 response effort unless otherwise designated.

Increase your impact by choosing the recurring gift option! Your monthly contributions will provide a lasting investment in our programs and centers.

Online giving is recommended at this time. However, you may mail a check to:

May Institute Philanthropy Office
41 Pacella Park Drive
Randolph, MA 02368

What your gift can do:

$5,000 purchases personal protective equipment (gloves, surgical and N95 masks, and gowns) to ensure the safety of our team of professionals and those in our care

$2,500 funds the increasing need for laptops, iPads, Zoom licenses, web cams, and other technology supporting telehealth services, virtual lesson plans, and electronic family visits

$1,000 supports the growing costs of payroll as we continue to respond to this national emergency

$500 buys EPA-approved cleaning supplies and other essentials to keep group homes fully stocked

$250 allows us to provide recognition to the team of professionals providing exceptional service during this pandemic

$100 provides group homes with games, toys, puzzles, arts and crafts, and gardening supplies for indoor and outdoor activities

PROTECTIVE MASK DONATIONS

May Institute is accepting donations of sewn face masks. If you or someone you know can sew, we welcome the donation!

We are doing everything possible to continue to stock masks and other protective personal equipment for our residential programs, but these items are in high demand everywhere. This is one way to help us be prepared for potential shortages in the future.

Here is a video tutorial on making masks.

You can mail your masks to the following address:

May Institute
41 Pacella Park Drive, Door 1
Randolph, MA 02368

You may also drop off masks at the same address, in a bin in the main vestibule at Door #1. Please include your name and contact information so we can appropriately thank you!

DONATE NEW PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

To protect against COVID-19 in our work areas, May Institute requests donations of PPE, unused and unopened boxes of:

  • Masks (priority is N95; we can use surgical or all types)
  • Gloves
  • Goggles

When possible, please send items to:

May Institute
41 Pacella Park Drive, Door 1
Randolph, MA 02368

We will handle pick-up and distribution to our group settings. Please contact Eileen Pollack at epollack@mayinstitute.org with questions. Thank you!

SEND GIFT CARDS

Send gift cards and our staff will use them to purchase needed items for our residential group homes. The cards will only be used to support the needs of those in our care.

Purchase an online gift card to a local grocery store, Amazon, BJ’s Wholesale, Costco, pharmacy, or gas station and send it to epollack@mayinstitute.org or mail it to the address below. Because of the current stay-at-home restrictions, we ask that you do not drop off gift cards at May residences. Thank you!
