Liz Scott
2015 Trustees' Fund Award Recipient

Program Coordinator
May Center for Adult Services, Eastern Mass.

Liz is dedicated and committed to each individual she serves. She has been with the May for almost 20 years, and currently runs one of our adult homes.

One of her attributes is that she is highly devoted to ALL of our individuals. Liz has great experience managing a neighboring program as well as extensive work in our day program. Liz is well liked by all who work with her. Her knowledge of the individuals we serve and of our various programs is an asset to the company and has been for many years.

Liz has taken on a leadership role with fellow House Managers. She will assist with audits, trainings, and all areas of need. She is trusted and reliable, and we can always depend on her to get the job done. When various tasks or projects are assigned, Liz will complete these in a timely manner, always meeting deadlines. Because of these skills, the home Liz manages runs very smoothly, and ultimately the residents of the home benefit.

Liz has shown she is a self-starter who requires minimum supervision. She is confident and understands the Department of Developmental Services system. Since day one, I have noticed two qualities about Liz — her ability to form a team and to execute within her team. Like Liz, her staff are dedicated to the program and, most importantly, to the individuals they serve.

Finally, Liz focuses on the individuals’ strengths and not their disabilities or weaknesses. Maintaining this mindset, Liz has allowed the residents of the home to reach their greatest potential. She runs an active house and addresses and follows through on growing medical needs within her program. Without hesitation I recommend Liz Scott for the prestigious Trustees’ Award.
