May Institute

Clubhouse Programs

The Clubhouse Programs provide individuals with mental illness a place to come to rebuild their lives. A clubhouse is a caring community—not an institution, where participants are members—not patients. A clubhouse is a unique and powerful partnership between staff and members who work together to create an environment of respect, opportunity, and hope - all contributing to the recovery process.

May Institute clubhouses offer members the opportunity to participate in meaningful work, pursue education and employment, and have a safe place to develop friendships.

Services include:

  • Job skills and employment support
  • Evening/weekend social and recreational opportunities
  • Housing, education, and social support

Clubhouse are located in Attleboro (Corner Club), Fall River (Towne House), Harwichport (Cove Club), Hyannis (Baybridge Club), and New Bedford (Heritage House), Mass.
