Jacob Richardson, M.Ed., LABA, BCBA
Clinical Director, May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Randolph, Mass.


Jacob Richardson serves as a Clinical Director at the May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Randolph. In this role, he provides clinical oversight to the behavior analytic and educational programming of several classrooms and two residential homes for individuals ages 8-22.

Jacob earned his master’s degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis through Cambridge College, where he served as an adjunct faculty member following his graduation. Prior to joining the team at May Institute, he worked for several years at the Evergreen Center in Milford, Mass., where he provided behavioral and educational support to individuals with severe challenging behavior. 


Jacob is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and has worked extensively with children and young adults with autism and severe problem behavior. In addition to his BCBA credential, Jacob is a licensed educator in Massachusetts, holding licenses in Moderate Disabilities Grades 5-12, Severe Disabilities All Levels, and Special Education Administration All Levels. He has practiced across home, school, and residential settings, and has significant experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary context with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.

His current focus is on organizational behavior management (OBM), a topic in which he has been published in Behavior Analysis in Practice. Jacob’s current research interests include behavior skills training, staff supervision, and functional analyses of ritualized behavior.
