May Institute Promotes Jenna Garvey to Executive Director of its Autism School in West Springfield, Mass.

Randolph, Mass.—May Institute is excited to announce the promotion of Jenna Garvey, M.Ed., BCBA, LABA, to Executive Director of May School | W. Springfield. May Institute is a national nonprofit leader in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and evidence-based interventions for autistic individuals and individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injury, and neurobehavioral disorders.
Jenna previously served as Clinical Director of May School | Chicopee. In her new role as Executive Director of May School | W. Springfield, she will oversee the school’s day-to-day operations and lead an interdisciplinary team of highly trained professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and certified special education teachers.

Since beginning her career at May School | W. Springfield in 2010 as an Instructor, Jenna has held various roles, including Lead Teacher, Coordinator of Clinical and Educational Services, and Clinical Director. In 2022, when May Institute opened May School | Chicopee, Jenna was selected as the inaugural Clinical Director and played a pivotal role in helping to build and guide the program. Throughout her tenure at May Institute, Jenna has been consistently recognized for her dedication and excellence, including receiving a May Institute Employee Spotlight Award and the organization’s prestigious Exceptional Service Award.

May School | W. Springfield is a Massachusetts Chapter 766–approved school that provides full-day, year-round educational services for children and adolescents from preschool through age 22. The school offers individualized programming with a 1:1 staff-to-student ratio, and classroom instruction emphasizing all areas of student development including academic, communication, social, behavioral, and vocational skills. In addition, May School | W. Springfield offers employment training such as a life skills apartment suite and an on-site school store to further prepare students for adulthood. The 17,000-square-foot school features large, bright classrooms, a lunchroom, a gross motor skills room, an adaptive gymnasium, a library, and a computer lab.

Jenna holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Smith College and a master’s degree in Special Education from Westfield State University, along with a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Jenna is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst, and a Licensed Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities. She is also an active member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and Massachusetts Professionals in Behavior Analysis (BABAT).
