06/1/25

Randolph, Mass. – [June 2, 2025] Responding to the increasing need for programs that meet the needs of autistic and developmentally disabled adults, May Institute has opened a second day habilitation program on its Randolph campus. The organization is a national nonprofit provider of autism services across the lifespan. Its adult programs also include more than 80 community-based group homes and supported living apartments that serve hundreds of individuals.

May Institute’s Day Habilitation programs are one component of the organization’s May Center for Adult Services in Eastern Massachusetts, which is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). In its most recent accreditation process, the Commission recognized May Institute’s commitment to quality, accountability, and person-centered care. This accreditation followed a rigorous peer review process and reflects May Institute’s adherence to CARF’s highest standards.

“Our Day Habilitation programs provide individualized support for adults of all ages, including those with complex medical needs,” explains Debra Blair, M.B.A., CMA, CPA, May Institute’s Chief Operating Officer. “These programs combine medical monitoring, including nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapies with daily living skills training and active community involvement.”

Located at 35 Pacella Park Drive, the new provides participants with volunteer activities; social skills training; community integration; communication skills development; functional living activities; and behavior management plans. It is the fifth Day Habilitation program operated by May Institute in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
