Randolph, Mass. – Julie Hopper, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has been named Vice President of Corporate Human Resources (HR) and HR Operations for May Institute. This national nonprofit organization serves autistic individuals as well as individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injury, and neurobehavioral disorders across the lifespan.
Previously the Senior Director of HR for May Institute, Ms. Hopper will now lead the organization’s HR operations functions including compensation, benefits, leaves, and workers’ compensation, systems, and HR compliance.
“Our HR team is dedicated to making it easier for our employees to care for the individuals we serve. Julie’s promotion to May’s executive leadership team is an important part of ensuring we can fulfill that purpose,” said Carolyn Wiesenhahn, JD, May Institute’s Senior Vice President of HR. “Her experience and expertise in the HR field make her uniquely well-qualified to fill this crucial role.”
Ms. Hopper began her career at May Institute in 1998 as a Program Coordinator for Adult Services in the organization’s Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts region, and later served as an Assistant Residential Director. In 2006, she pivoted her focus to Human Resources and has since served the organization in a number of HR-related roles before being promoted to her current position.
As an HR professional, she earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential in 2012 and later her SHRM-SCP certification in 2015.
