Randolph, Mass. – Daniel J. Sullivan has been named Vice President of Adult Services for May Institute, a national nonprofit organization that provides services across the lifespan for autistic individuals and individuals with other developmental disabilities, brain injury and neurological disorders, as well as other special needs.
In his new position, Mr. Sullivan oversees services provided at residential group homes and supported living apartments in Western and Southeastern Massachusetts, and on Cape Cod. He also oversees Day Habilitation programs for adults; one in Mashpee and one in Raynham.
His previous experience includes working for nonprofit organizations in the fields of child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Sullivan served as May Institute’s Director of Quality Improvement.
Prior to returning to May Institute in 2024, he was the Vice President of Quality and Community Services for Lifeworks, where he led a team that provided a wide array of supports to individuals and families with intellectual/developmental disabilities, including autism.

Mr. Sullivan holds a Master of Science in Public Affairs degree from the John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Westfield State University in Westfield, Mass. In addition, he is an Administrative Surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). He conducts surveys of organizations seeking to receive accreditation from CARF.
