May Institute Named One of Massachusetts’ Top 100 Women-Led Businesses by The Women’s Edge and The Boston Globe

Randolph, Mass. — May Institute, a national nonprofit provider of services for autistic individuals and individuals with other developmental disabilities, brain injury, and neurobehavioral disorders, has been named number 44 on The Women’s Edge and The Boston Globe’s 2025 list of Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. This marks the ninth year that May Institute has earned a place on this prestigious list.

The Women’s Edge, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in leadership, works to champion the success and influence of women-led businesses. Through its annual list of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses, the organization honors exceptional for-profit and nonprofit institutions whose leadership, innovation, and impact continue to strengthen the Commonwealth’s economy and enrich its communities.

According to The Women’s Edge, these Top 100 companies have a combined statewide revenue of $141 billion, with total employees worldwide of 477,569, and total employees in Massachusetts of 100,428. Additionally, women-led businesses make up 22% of the Gross Domestic Product in the Commonwealth. Human services organizations comprise 21% of the Top 100.

The Top 100 winners were honored at an awards ceremony on October 24 at a celebratory breakfast event. The names of the winning organizations and their leaders were published in the Globe Magazine’s Women & Power issue [link requires subscription] on October 26.
