May Institute Appoints Martha Sloan Felch and Nancy Nager to its Board of Trustees

Randolph, Mass. — May Institute’s Board of Trustees has appointed two new members: Nancy Nager, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., Founder and President and Chief Executive Officer of Specialized Billing Services and Specialized Healthcare Services; and Martha Sloan Felch, Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager of Commercial Lending at Blue Hills Bank.
 
May Institute is an award-winning nonprofit organization with nearly 60 years of experience in serving children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, brain injury, mental illness, and behavioral health needs. The organization provides educational, rehabilitative, and behavioral healthcare services to individuals, as well as training and consultation services to professionals, organizations, and public school systems.

About Nancy Nager, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N.
Ms. Nager is Founder and President and Chief Executive Officer of Specialized Billing Services and Specialized Healthcare Services, divisions of the parent company SBSC, Inc., a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in New England and medical billing services nationally. She has over 35 years healthcare experience in the areas of general management, strategic planning, marketing, operations, technology, budgeting, fiscal affairs, regulatory requirements, and business development.
 
Prior to founding Specialized, Ms. Nager was the Chief Operating Officer of Charles River Hospital in Wellesley, Mass., where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 62-bed psychiatric hospital with revenues of approximately $12 million a year.
 
Ms. Nager currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Mental Health, where she has been a Director since 1998, and the Boy Scouts of America, to which she was appointed in 2013. She served on the Board of Directors of Candela Laser Corporation, a $130 million medical device company (NASDAQ:CLZR), from 1999 to 20I0.
 
Ms. Nager is a licensed nursing home administrator, a member of The Boston Club, Massachusetts Nursing Association, Healthcare Billing and Management Association, and Women Corporate Directors.
 
The recipient of numerous honors, Ms. Nager speaks on healthcare issues. She earned a master of science degree in psychiatric nursing and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Boston University.
 
About Martha Sloan Felch
Ms. Felch is Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager of Commercial Lending at Blue Hills Bank, where she works with a team to develop and retain a portfolio of commercial banking customers with annual revenues of up to $25 million and credit needs up to $5 million.
 
From 2003 to 2011, Ms. Felch held numerous leadership positions at Sovereign/Santander Bank. Before becoming Senior Vice President of Business Banking, she served as Senior Vice President of Professional Services and Director of Specialty Banking.
 
Ms. Felch has extensive board experience, primarily in the nonprofit sector, in governance, finance, strategic planning, and development for organizations and agencies including New England Baptist Hospital, YWCA Boston, Babson College, and The Boston Club. She serves as Committee Chair of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and, since 1996, has served as a volunteer coach for Babson College Coaching for Leadership. Through this initiative, she provides feedback to undergraduate business students regarding leadership competencies demonstrated during group case study exercises.
 
Ms. Felch’s awards include the Women’s Business Boston Reader’s Choice Award as a Top 10 banker in 2007 and 2008, and the Boston YWCA Academy of Women Achievers in 2003. Ms. Felch earned an MBA in marketing and finance from Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in English and German from Connecticut College.
