Jon Roland Joins May Institute as Vice President of Home, School, and Center-based Services

Randolph, Mass. – Jon Roland, M.A., BCBA, has been named Vice President of Home, School, and Center-based Services for May Institute, a national nonprofit organization that serves individuals across the lifespan with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs.

In his new position, Mr. Roland oversees all May Institute ABA (applied behavior analysis) centers and home-based services for children with autism in the United States, as well as consultation services to school districts. 

ABA is the application of principles of learning to achieve meaningful outcomes. It is a methodology that emphasizes direct observation, objective measurement, and evaluation of the effects of assessments and intervention to be sure they are having the desired outcome. 

“Over the course of his career, Jon has managed clinical services for hundreds of children diagnosed with autism, and trained and mentored hundreds of staff in using the principles of ABA with children with autism,” said Ivy Chong, Ph.D., BCBA-D, M.B.A., Senior Vice President of Children’s Services for May Institute. “May will benefit greatly from his outstanding skills and extensive experience.”

Prior to joining the May institute, Mr. Roland served as Manager of Clinical Services for a government-funded, multimillion dollar, multisite ABA program for children with autism in Ontario, Canada. In this role, he helped oversee ABA services across more than 20 home- and center-based teams as well as consultation services to school boards, assessment services, and parent and professional training services. 

Mr. Roland received his master’s degree in Psychology specializing in ABA from Western Michigan University, and has specialized in treatment of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities since 2000. He has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2007.
