Holyoke Resident Receives May Institute’s Prestigious Trustees’ Fund Award

Randolph, Mass. – Holyoke resident Jenna Garvey, Lead Teacher at the May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in West Springfield, has received a Trustees’ Fund Award from May Institute’s Board of Trustees. The award is given annually to a select group of employees who are nominated by their peers and supervisors. The six recipients of the 2016 awards were recently honored at a ceremony at the organization’s corporate office in Randolph, Mass.

May Institute is a national nonprofit organization that provides educational, rehabilitative, and behavioral healthcare services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders, and behavioral health needs. May Institute employs approximately 2,000 staff across the country.

The Trustees’ Fund Award is the highest honor given to an employee by the organization. It was created in 1993 to recognize the exceptional contributions of staff members who epitomize the organization’s ideals of service and professionalism.
