Randolph, Mass. – Three nationally renowned experts in applied behavior analysis (ABA) – Ivy Chong, Ph.D., BCBA-D; Richard B. Graff, Ph.D., LABA, BCBA-D; and Alice Shillingsburg, Ph.D., BCBA-D – have recently joined May Institute’s clinical leadership team. May Institute is a leading national provider of applied behavioral analytic interventions for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs.
Dr. Chong is the new Vice President of Home, School, and Center-based Services for May Institute. Previously, she served as the Director of Autism Services and Training at the Scott Center for Autism Treatment in Melbourne, Fla. She has specialized in the assessment and treatment of individuals with ASD and developmental disabilities for 20 years.
Dr. Graff, formerly the Senior Scientist and Clinical Director of the New England Center for Children, was recently named Senior Vice President of Clinical Training and Services at May Institute. He is on the Board of Directors of the Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy, has taught in Northeastern University’s ABA program, and currently serves as a clinical adjunct faculty member for Western New England University’s master’s program in ABA.
Dr. Shillingsburg, May Institute’s new Vice President of Applied Verbal Behavior, was previously the Director of the Language and Learning Clinic at the Marcus Autism Center. She has published more than 35 empirical papers on interventions for children with developmental disabilities.

Drs. Chong, Graff, and Shillingsburg round out the organization’s clinical leadership team, joining: Senior Vice President of Applied Behavior Analysis Cynthia M. Anderson, Ph.D., BCBA-D, a renowned expert in autism, applied behavior analysis, and severe problem behaviors; Chief Clinical Officer Deidre L. Donaldson, Ph.D., ABPP, LABA, BCBA; and Executive Vice President of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Robert F. Putnam, Ph.D., LABA, BCBA-D.
They add further breadth and depth to a roster of clinical experts comprised of 35 doctoral-level staff and more than 80 behavior analysts with BCBA or BCaBA certification. These clinical leaders will be representing May Institute and its National Autism Center at regional, national, and international conferences throughout the year.
