Randolph, Mass. – May Institute, a leading national provider of educational, rehabilitative, and behavioral healthcare services for individuals with special needs, recently earned first place awards for its 60th Anniversary Year Annual Report from both the Publicity Club (Pub Club) of New England and the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo).

The Pub Club recognized May Institute’s communications and public relations team’s annual report by awarding the publication a gold “bell,” or first place, in its digital and print collateral category. NESHCo also awarded the report a first place in its annual report category.

“The Bell Ringer Awards are a testament to the talent, creativity, and vision of communications across New England,” said Cheryl Gale, president of the Pub Club. “What makes these honors all the more impressive is that they are bestowed by peers within our community who have judged the work to be worthy of these awards.”

The Lamplighter awards were established to showcase and honor excellence in healthcare communication throughout the New England region. The 2017 competition had 352 entries; 51 organizations were honored with gold, silver, and awards of excellence.

“We had ambitious objectives for our special anniversary edition of this annual publication,” said Eileen G. Pollack, M.A., Senior Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for May Institute. “Not only did we want to honor our many donors, provide updates on organizational performance, and recognize staff and the individuals we serve, but we also wanted to pay tribute to our history and our Cape Cod roots, as well as the highlights of our 60th year. These prestigious awards confirm that we achieved those goals.”
