Daniel Navisky, Esq., Named Senior VP and General Counsel for May Institute

Randolph, Mass. — Daniel Navisky, Esq., has joined May Institute as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. As the organization’s chief legal officer, he oversees and manages a wide range of legal matters and provides strategic and legal counsel regarding May Institute’s operations, programs, and partnerships.

Before joining May Institute, Mr. Navisky practiced law at Foley Hoag, LLP and Murphy & King, P.C., where he specialized in the resolution of complex business disputes, including insurance coverage, real estate, and employment litigation; counseled companies on best practices under US employment and labor laws; and helped institutions navigate state and federal legislative and regulatory processes.

Prior to law school, Mr. Navisky had an extensive career in the government, public policy, and nonprofit arenas. In Washington, D.C., he served as a Policy Assistant under U.S. House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt. In Boston, he served as Assistant Director for Civil Rights and Public Policy at the Anti-Defamation League, Government Affairs Associate for Charles Group Consulting, and Press Secretary for a campaign opposing a statewide ballot initiative to end bilingual education in Massachusetts. Mr. Navisky also worked for a Member of the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.

Mr. Navisky earned a B.A. in Political Science cum laude at the University of Rochester and a J.D. cum laude from Boston College Law School, where he received the Richard G. Huber Award for Scholarship and Leadership and was the Senior Executive Editor of the Boston College International & Comparative Law Review.

A resident of Newton, Mr. Navisky serves on the Board of Trustees of Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, the Board of Directors of the Boston Jewish Music Festival, and the Board of Directors of the Linda Schulman Innovation Fund.
