In Mashpee, a Welcoming Rock Garden

09/20/20

As our Day Habilitation programs slowly reopen, staff at our Mashpee site have been working on the rock garden to welcome the individuals back as the time is right.

"When I see the rock garden now, and I notice all the rocks that were painted by individuals (in our care), it warms my heart. The project that I started almost five years ago has grown and spread beyond anything I could have imagined. The rock garden allows for our diverse community to have a common area of togetherness! We hope to continue to expand the garden to bring others as much joy as it has brought to all of us." - Nancy Gailor, Director of Day Services at Mashpee.

And a big shout-out to Chloe Keller, one of our Service Managers. She is who the artist that painted the new sign for our garden. Read more from Nancy about where her love of rock gardens began: https://bit.ly/3co88Fk
