Even as a Father of Two...Christos Papadopoulos

04/14/20

“Even as a father of two, I struggled the first few days to help students understand why we are facing abrupt life changes. But I began to use my experience in fatherhood as a part of my role in the residence. Since students aren’t able to be with their parents, I feel as though I’m helping to fill that role temporarily. It’s been a team effort with all staff adapting to the situation. Staff have been outstanding and I trust the team more than ever. The miracles I’ve seen are with students adapting to their new life changes quickly. Having a student tell me that I’m their best friend is more than I could have ever asked for. It moved me and comforted me. We are a family and we will continue to grow together. Staff members are giving me the support I need to stay safe and healthy. Residential staff and school staff have gone above and beyond. I’m grateful to have a job with my second family.”
