Chanel's Trip to New York City!

Chanel, a resident in our May Center for Adult Services in western Mass., and Program Coordinator Gilian Washington, took off to the Big Apple recently for fun and adventure—the energy, the sights, the sounds, the food, the vibes!

Chanel checked many items off her wish list, including visits to Brooklyn and Harlem, eating street food, and dining at an African restaurant that she has always wanted to try. They saw Madison Square Garden, and, according to Gilian, “shopped, shopped, and shopped some more!” Chanel enjoyed every moment but admits that her absolute favorite part was having her hair professionally braided. “She hopes to go back again," Gilian told us. "She calls all her friends and talks about the trip over and over… all the time. How sweet!”
