The May Center for ABA Services in Savannah, Ga., provides best practice intensive behavioral intervention to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other special needs.

We offer comprehensive and focused programs based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). These center-based services and home-based services provide ABA therapy to help toddlers and children build critical skills.

Our center-based services provide social skills groups and early childhood therapy based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), with the goal of helping children build critical skills and reduce problem behaviors. Our Early Learner’s center-based program is designed for toddlers and young children. The program operates Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm. Children attending the center-based program are on-site for sessions that vary in length (e.g., 4-6 hour sessions) and are staffed one-to-one with a Registered Behavior Technician providing direct therapy under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Direct therapy services are structured to address deficits with communication, social interaction, and functional independent living skills (e.g., toilet training). Behavior support plans are individualized for children with maladaptive behavior to identify and teach functional replacement skills. Additionally, parent training services are provided to all of the families with children attending the center-based program.

This program accepts the following insurances: BCBSGA. Cigna, Optum/UHC, Tricare, and Medicaid. If you don’t see your specific insurance company listed, please contact us. We may already be in-network with your plan.

Throughout the year, the Center’s staff members organize activities for the families they serve. These events, held at a variety of locations including nearby parks and a local horse farm, enable families to get together, enjoy activities in the community, and talk with each other about common concerns. They also provide a time for staff members to work with children on practicing social skills in different settings.

NOTE: School-based consultation services available through May Institute provide supports and consultative services to administrators, teachers, and students to increase expertise and enhance student outcomes.
