Wilmington, Mass. | May Center for ABA Services

NEW CENTER-BASED SERVICES COMING IN OCTOBER TO THE WILMINGTON AREA!

Our newest center-based program will provide “best practice” intensive behavioral intervention to children ages 3-10 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in order to build critical skills and reduce problem behaviors.

The Center will provide full-day services, half-day services (either morning or early afternoon), and after-school services.

About our May Centers: Research tells us that intensive intervention during the early years has the best prognosis and fosters success for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. At our new Wilmington location, we specialize in center-based therapy for these children.

Working closely with the families we serve, our behavior therapists use developmentally appropriate practices based on applied behavior analysis (ABA), the methodology universally recognized as critical for teaching children with a diagnosis of ASD or other behavioral or developmental disabilities.

These services target the core characteristics of ASD through interventions that focus on communication, social, play, and daily living skills. We tailor instruction to be developmentally appropriate for early learners and use materials, toys, and activities that are preferred by the child and family.

Working together with families: Parents whose children attend the center can receive parent training and consultation at the center or in their home. Parent consultation focuses on  teaching parents to work with their children to reduce problematic behavior and generalize, or transfer, skills they learn at the center to their home setting.

Our staff:
  • Doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA-Ds), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs)
  • Behavior therapists with training in ABA
  • Ongoing access to top national experts at May Institute and its National Autism Center who provide consultation, peer review, and guidance

Insurance: We accept many commercial and private insurances, as well as private pay.

Please contact us today to learn more about the new center or to apply for services!
