Presenter: Robert Putnam, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Senior Vice President of School Consultation, May Institute
This free event is part of Experts on Autism - May Institute’s 2010-2011 Speaker Series which will take place at the Hockomock Area YMCA in Foxboro, Mass. Special thanks to the YMCA for partnering with us on these events.
Description: For typically developing children, social interactions tend to be more natural and easy to undertake. For a child with autism, however, the ability to make friends and interact with peers does not happen naturally. Take some time to learn how to teach your child social skills that they can use in school and home settings to help them interact and make friends.
Time: Presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. A typical evening will include a one-hour presentation, 30 minutes for questions and answers with the speaker, and 30 minutes for networking opportunities.
