Planning for the Special Needs of Your Adult Child

Attendees will learn how to help adult children transition to the next step and what services are available, including:
  • Medi-Cal
  • SSI/SSDI
  • Housing options
  • How to provide assets for your child through special needs trusts
  • Conservatorships process 

A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
  
Presenters:

Local attorneys Lee Ann Shenkman, Esq., and Deborah A. Malkin, Esq., will discuss special needs trusts and conservatorships.
 
Gloria Rivera-Perez, a representative of Santa Cruz County will address Medi-Cal benefits.
 
Dennise Jauregui of Housing Choices Coalition will discuss finding stable, affordable, and long-term housing.
