Interested in Implementing PBIS?

Keeping Kids In Class and On Task

What is School-wide PBIS? This FREE introduction to Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports for school and district administrators, school psychologists, counselors, intervention specialists, and teachers will include an overview of research-based assessment and intervention practices that school teams apply using a three-tiered systems prevention model. We will review specific steps schools and districts should take to become “ready” to implement PBIS, which will increase sustainability and the development of local capacity.

Will School-wide PBIS work in my school? PBIS has been successfully implemented at all grade levels in over 10,000 schools across the country to improve academic outcomes and establish safer school environments. After attending this session, you will understand how PBIS strategies could be successfully implemented in your school or district.

Invest resources wisely. Federal ARRA and Massachusetts Department of ESE grants emphasize the need for schools to invest money and resources in sustainable multi-tiered systems of instruction. PBIS can be sustained effectively with limited district oversight by developing local capacity.

New! Find out how your PBIS approach can include Bullying Prevention.

New! MA DESE has recognized PBIS as an effective approach to reduce the use of seclusion and restraint practices (Commissioner’s Update).
