Summary: This brief webinar will explain the impact of MTSS/PBIS with fidelity on students and staff and how the new DESE Grant to “Improve Students' Social Emotional Learning, Behavioral & Mental Health, and Wellness” can support its implementation.

Topics will include:

  • How districts can save time and fiscal resources through implementing a multitiered system of PBIS supports using evidence-based practices and data-based decision-making to improve staff competencies to increase the social/emotional/behavioral skills of its students to:
    • reduce costly segregated out-of-district placements and redirect these resources to support all students
    • have more students in class and academically engaged through improving attendance, reducing office discipline referrals, and improving academic engagement
    • improve the mental health status of your students  
    • improve inclusion of students with disabilities
    • reduce disproportional discipline
  • How to use the new DESE Grant “Improve Students' Social Emotional Learning, Behavioral & Mental Health, and Wellness” to achieve these outcomes.
