FREE Bullying Prevention Plan Workshop

8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Continental breakfast included

Free workshop sponsored by May Institute and the National Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

What is the Bullying Prevention Workshop?

This workshop help schools build their state mandated bully prevention plan. It will review evidence-based interventions and practices to reduce bullying in schools. This workshop will review cost-effective universal interventions, assessment tools across the tiers, tier two and three interventions and progress monitoring strategies and how to prevent litigation in this area.

The use of the Bullying Prevention in Positive Behavior Supports (BP-PBS) has resulted in clear decreases in bullying behavior, as well as an increase in adaptive student responses to bullying.

Learn how evidence-based bulling prevention strategies will help your school/district comply with the Massachusetts Bullying Prevention Legislation. Here’s what we will cover:

  • What works in bullying prevention and intervention
  • Suggestions in the development of a comprehensive bullying plan
  • Learn effective assessment and data based decision making in deciding interventions
  • Outline professional development for your staff

Special populations are particularly at risk to be bullied or to be the perpetrator, and our focus will be on evidence-based interventions for these high-risk populations.
