The July 15 tournament is by invitation only, with a group of local businesses and fishing boats teaming up to raise money for their chosen charity. Carl and Guy Riedell of Carl F. Riedell & Son, Inc. will sponsor the Stray Cat, captained by parent Ron Murphy, to raise funds for May’s 25 community-based residences as well as our day habilitation programs in Mashpee and Raynham.
There are two ways to make your gift: donate online or send a check, payable to May Institute, to the following address:
Philanthropy Office | 41 Pacella Park Drive | Randolph, MA 02368
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 and Riedell & Son will match the funds raised for May Institute up to $5,000. While we are seeking supporters at $1,000, $750, $500, and $250 levels, gifts of any amount will make a difference! Your donation will count toward our total raised and will be designated to Adult Services programs on Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts.
— A gift of $1,000 could help to send the men and women we serve on a community outing regardless of their ability. Past trips have included a day in Boston to see the Red Sox play or a holiday ride on the Cape Cod Railroad with peers.
— A donation of $750 can provide an individual the chance to go “on vacation” out of state with their peers, to practice social skills and experience activities in a new setting.
— A donation of $500 will fund a trip for four individuals in a Cape Cod group home and their direct care staff to learn about and appreciate the performing arts by attending a theatre production.
— A $250 donation supports the purchase of technology like an iPad, which can be used by non-verbal individuals to communicate their wants and needs to staff.
— A gift in any amount will enable one of our day habilitation programs to purchase supplies for individuals to participate in art therapy, or a residence in your local community to purchase gardening supplies and enjoy the outdoors.
