Director of Applied Research & Evidence Based Practice, National Autism Center

This free event is part of Experts on Autism - May Institute’s 2010-2011 Speaker Series which will take place at the Hockomock Area YMCA in Foxboro, Mass. Special thanks to the YMCA for partnering with us on these events.

Description: Your child can be very different depending on the setting (home versus community), the expectations in place, the people present, or any number of other factors. As a parent of a child on the spectrum, your understanding of these situations makes you uniquely qualified to recognize what educational goals your child needs. This presentation focuses on strategies you can use to work effectively with school systems to better meet your child’s needs.

Time: Presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. A typical evening will include a one-hour presentation, 30 minutes for questions and answers with the speaker, and 30 minutes for networking opportunities.
