Title: Early Intervention and Effectiveness of EIBI

Description: The goal of this activity is to advance understanding of pediatric practitioners in developmental and behavioral pediatrics in the importance of early diagnosis and early intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders (ADS). Additional evidence on the effectiveness of early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) for children ASD will be shared. This session aims to expand providers’ knowledge on treatment options for young children with ASD.

Learning Objectives: 1. Explain how behavioral interventions are used to increase communication and social interaction. 2. Describe key features of behavioral interventions for core and associated features of autism 3. Explain how progress is measured and monitored for young children with autism receiving behavioral interventions
