Professional Continuing Education Seminar Series

Join us for this workshop that is part of our intermediate to advanced-level workshop series for human services and behavioral healthcare professionals working in clinical, educational, medical, and rehabilitation settings.

Instructor: Noa Hannah, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BCBA-D

Event Description: This presentation will be led by Noa Hannah, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BCBA-D, Director of Therapy and Clinical Services at KGH Consultation & Treatment in Madison, WI. Dr. Hannah strives to bridge her expertise in language acquisition and her understanding of young children with autism through her research practice. This presentation will be in a power point format with additional video to support understanding of concepts, models of implementation, and increased knowledge of low-tech AAC (PECS) in young children who are non-verbal. Content will include a changing criterion single subject design examining the augmentative effects of teaching an alternative communication system.

This presentation will help to advance knowledge of BCBAs and/or BCaBAs in the area of functional communication and ABA evidence-based practice. The content will include an additional ABA based strategy to increase joint attention skills in young children with autism.
